Field Dynamics

13–15 November 2026

Ekskäret Island, Stockholm archipelago

With Žan Perko and the BEYOND team · Held in English · Up to 30 participants

Step away from everyday demands and make room for a different kind of attention — to your body, your inner life, and what happens when you meet others with curiosity.

An invitation

BEYOND brings together teaching, movement, guided inquiry, and facilitated group work. Over three days on Ekskäret Island, we explore how our emotions, familiar patterns, and ways of relating shape our experience — and what becomes possible when we begin to notice them more clearly.

Alongside the sessions, there is time for rest, shared meals, nature, and the simple pleasure of being together.

What is BEYOND?

Much of how we move through life becomes familiar: the roles we take, the feelings we make room for, the ways we respond to uncertainty or reach for connection. Some of these patterns support us. Others can narrow our choices without us noticing.

BEYOND creates space to explore these patterns through direct experience. We work with the body, movement, voice, reflection, and the interactions that unfold within the group. There is room for seriousness and play, expression and stillness, and for experiences that take time to put into words.

What do we mean by “Field Dynamics”?

A group is shaped by more than its conversations. We also respond to tone of voice, posture, silence, pace, attention, and the atmosphere between us.

Within BEYOND, the term “field” offers a way to explore this shared dimension of experience: how we affect one another, what we notice in ourselves in the presence of others, and how familiar relational patterns emerge within a group. The invitation is to notice what is happening, share what feels relevant, and explore it together.

What we explore

A living group experience in a safe and grounded space. We settle into presence, explore what is alive within us, and allow what needs to unfold naturally. This is not a space for fixing or forcing, but one where what is ripe naturally arises.

  • 01

    Body awareness, movement, and voice

Somatic practices begin with the body as we experience it from within: sensation, breath, tension, movement, and impulse. Through guided movement and voice work, we explore how we express ourselves, where we hold back, and what helps us feel more present. No movement or voice training is needed.

  • 02

    Emotional awareness and expression

We make space to recognise feelings and explore how they show up in the body and in our relationships. Attention is given to allowing time for an experience to settle and become understandable.

  • 03

Pattern inquiry: the echoes of the past

What patterns continue to play out in your life, seemingly beyond conscious choice? Family relationships, cultural expectations, and past experiences can shape how we meet the present. Through reflection and experiential work, we explore what feels familiar, what may no longer serve us, and where there is room for a different choice.

  • 04

    Relationships and group dynamics

How do you remain connected to yourself while being with others? Guided dialogue, group processes, and constellation exercises offer ways to explore these questions.

  • 05

    Presence and integration

Throughout the retreat, we return to the practice of noticing: what is happening within us, around us, and between us. Reflection, quiet time, and conversation offer space to consider how what we discover relates to everyday life.

What happens during a session?

Sessions combine teaching with guided practice and reflection. We may begin with movement or an exercise in body awareness, followed by an introduction to a theme. From there, the work may develop through dialogue, a facilitated exploration with a participant, or a practice involving the whole group.

Learning happens through participating, observing, and noticing your own responses. The facilitators work with what emerges while providing structure and time for reflection.

Who is this for?

BEYOND welcomes a broad mix of people, including those new to this work and those with an established personal or professional practice. You may be curious about your emotional life, interested in understanding recurring patterns, or looking for a deeper quality of connection with yourself and others. You may work with people — as a leader, facilitator, educator, or colleague.

No prior experience is required. Come with curiosity and a willingness to learn through experience.

The retreat explores capacities that also matter in professional settings: paying attention, recognising habitual reactions, listening to others, and noticing how we contribute to a group. For participants seeking employer support, BEYOND can be described as an experiential personal-development retreat focused on self-awareness and interpersonal learning.

Our island setting

Ekskäret is a private island in Stockholm’s archipelago and a gathering place dedicated to inner development, learning, and connection. It lies in the Äpplarö Nature Reserve — about two hours from central Stockholm by bus or car, followed by a short boat ride.

Wooden walkways connect the buildings with spaces for conversation, movement, and shared meals. Beyond them are forest paths, rocks, and shoreline, with the sea close by. The island offers comfortable accommodation, welcoming communal spaces, two saunas, and a lookout tower.

Nature and time away from everyday demands are part of the retreat’s rhythm, with room to walk, rest, and let the sessions settle.
